When it became apparent that an existing machine was increasingly failing, especially in the testing and handling areas, Sanders Machinebouw was called in to come up with something better for this. The customer, an international manufacturer of high-quality gaskets and seals, wanted 100% reliability when checking, marking and packaging seals. Because these are usually flexible and thin and therefore difficult to handle, this posed significant challenges for the engineers at Sanders Machinebouw. With the help of specialists from EKB, with whom Sanders has been working for more than half a century, these challenges could be overcome, resulting in a fast, flexible and extremely reliable machine.

“It will be clear that the gasket manufacturer had become quite suspicious of having another new machine developed,” says Rob Habraken (Technical Account Manager of Sanders Machinebouw) about the start of the project. “The misery that the first machine had caused was of course not really conducive to confidence in a good solution. However, we were firmly convinced that this could be resolved easily. Our experience as a builder of special machines justified this trust. Especially if you can collaborate with other highly expert partners such as EKB.
